For as the body is one and has many members...

For in fact the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. (1 Corinthians 12:14-20)

God gives each christian at least one gift with the ability to serve in the church, in our homes or even in the communites where we live and we can use the gifts like a body. My home church has a saying (actually one of our pastors made a beutiful song out of the saying). Here is the saying: "We are a Family, Team, and an Army"

As some know we are brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. If you are not part of the original Jewish tribes of Isreal, That's ok because we are adopted in the family of God.

We are a family. Check this out:

(1Corinthians 12:21-27) "And the eye cannot say to the hand, 'I have no need of you'; nor again the head to the feet, 'I have no need of you.' No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are neccessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honarable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresetable parts have grater modesty, But our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to the part which lacks it, That there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and members indivually.

You see everyone has a role wherever you go.

In a school there are Teachers, Teachers Assistants, Aides, Secretaries, Custodians, Principals, Students and so on.. What would happen if a teacher says, "Ah, I am not a principal,so I am not going to teach these children." or the nurse would say "I am not a teacher, why should take care of these children needs?" Secretaries say "I can not answer the phone for the administrators."

What is your role? Are you a principal? Do people follow naturally your leadership? Or are you like a secretary, a behind the scenes type of person, a person who has the gift of service performing jobs that are important but not glamorous?

See, we are a team. Everyone has a part in life whether you know it or not, God has a will for your life.

Brothers and Sisters,
Please Join me in prayer that God will help us be aware and use our gifts as the Lord intends.

In God's Love,
