Your Faith Will Make You Whole

(Mark 10:46-52 NKJV) Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man saying to him, “Be of good cheer, Rise, He is calling you.” And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
Have you ever sinned and felt far away from God and God’s people? You know what exactly what needs to be done to return to God and be restored, but don’t feel like God could heal your sin. So much has transpired in your life, you feel you can never go back and be restored but I am here to tell you that God will forgive and restore your life. All you have to do is cry out to Jesus “Have mercy on me and forgive my sin.”
Look at Bartimaeus and follow his example, he didn’t care what people around him would say, all he knew was that Jesus would heal him and have mercy on him. His faith made him whole.
Can we have that much faith to call on Jesus to forgive our sins and heal us? In the Bible it says “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV)
As I am writing this song comes to my mind Draw Me Close by Kelly Carpenter.
Draw me close to You; never let me go.
I lay it all down again to hear you say
That I’m Your friend.
You are my desire; no one else will do,
‘Cause nothing could take Your place,
To feel the warmth of Your embrace.
Help me find the way;
Bring me back to you.
You’re all I want;
You’re all I’ve ever needed.
You’re all I want;
Help me know You are near.
Jesus can and will take the hurt away; He can take the sins away, heal us and give us everlasting life. What hinders your faith today? Cry out to Jesus and let Him draw you close.
In His Love,
